You will have 30 days to test the new version. During or after this period, if it suits your needs, click here to upgrade to 4.0 version.
Users of the standalone edition (if you are a user of the "Network" edition, please scroll down to the appropriate section)
Warning! To avoid loss of data, it is STRONGLY recommended to make a backup copy of your database before doing anything else.

Backing up the database from the old version
Make a manual copy (copy/paste) of the file “C:\ProgramData\VehicleFleetManager\GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB” in a safe place. If you are unsure of the location of your database on your computer, you can find it by going to “Configuration – Connection to database” -
Install the new version and import data
A. Click here to download and install the new version. The old version of Vehicle Fleet Manager will not be overwritten. The new version (Vehicle Fleet Manager 4.0) will be added to the list of programs on your computer.B. When you will run Vehicle Fleet Manager 4.0, you will see the demo data in your database. You will need to import your own data. To do this, go to the folder “C:\ProgramData\VehicleFleetManager” (for older installation, this folder may be “C:\Program Files\Vehicle Fleet Manager 3.0 Data”) and copy (Ctrl + C on the file GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB or, right click – Copy) GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB.
C. Now, go to folder “C:\ProgramData\VinitySoft Data” and paste (Ctrl + V or right click – Paste) the file in this location. Rename it to VSOFT.FDB instead of GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB. The demonstration database will be replaced with data from the old version of Vehicle Fleet Manager 3.0.
D. Restart Vehicle Fleet Manager 4.0 and your database will be updated automatically.
Users of the Network edition
Warning! To avoid loss of data, it is STRONGLY recommended to make a backup copy of your database before doing anything else.

Backing up the database from the old version
Go to your database server and do a manual copy (copy/paste) of the file “C:\ProgramData\VehicleFleetManager\GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB” (note that this path is the default installation location of the database during the initial install) in a safe place.Warning! It is possible that there are more than one GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB file on the server. You should make sure to copy the correct database. If you are not absolutely sure of the location of the database on the server, you’ll find it by going to the menu “Configuration – Connection to database”.The name of the computer where the database is installed as well as the path are there

Install the new version and import data
A. Go to your database server. If you are unsure of the location of the server and the folder where the database is located, open Vehicle Fleet Manager on any computer and go to “Configuration – Connection to database”. You will find both information there. The following example indicates that the database file GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB is located in the folder “C:\ProgramData\VehicleFleetManager” on the computer “SERVER1” :B. Make a backup copy of the correct GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB file by following step 1 mentioned above.
C. Click here to download and install the new version.
Warning! During installation, if you choose not to install Vehicle Fleet Manager 4.0 in the default installation folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\Vehicle Fleet Manager 4.0”, make sure to choose a different folder than the one in which was installed the previous version. This will allow you to return to the old version at any time should the new version does not suit your needs.
D. When you will run Vehicle Fleet Manager 4.0, you will see the demo data in your database. You will need to import your own data. To do this, go to the folder where the database of the old version is installed (default path is “C:\ProgramData\VehicleFleetManager”) and copy (Ctrl + C on GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB file, or right click – Copy) GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB file :
E. Now, go to folder where database from the new version is installed (default path is “C:\ProgramData\VinitySoft Data”) and paste (Ctrl + V or right click – Paste) the file in this location. Rename the GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB file to VSOFT.FDB. The demonstration database will be replaced with data from the old version of Vehicle Fleet Manager.
F. Restart Vehicle Fleet Manager 4.0 and your database will be updated automatically.
G. Now, all you have to do is to install Vehicle Fleet Manager 4.0 on your client machines and configure the server name and path of the database (default “C:\ProgramData\VinitySoft Data”) using button “Database connection” in “Configuration” tab
