Here are the steps to install Vehicle Fleet Manager 5.0 and share the database over your local network.
- Choose a computer that will host the database on your network. We call this computer the "Database server". The database server can be any computer on your local network. Please note that the database server must be running for client computers to be able to connect to the database.
- Download and install MariaDB on the database server computer. MariaDB is the database used by Vehicle Fleet Manager 5.0. There is two options for installing the MariaDB database server:
Option #1: You will use Vehicle Fleet Manager 5.0 from the database server computer. In that case, use the following link to download and install Vehicle Fleet Manager 5.0 AND MariaDB on the database server computer:

Option #2: You will not use Vehicle Fleet Manager 5.0 from the database server computer. In that case you can install MariaDB only. Use this link to download the MariaDB installation utility:

Once installation has been completed, you should see the "MariaDb - Vinity Soft" service running on your database server computer: - Connect client computers to the database. Now that the database server is running, you can connect client computers to the database. To do so, you have to download and install Vehicle Fleet Manager 5.0 on the client computers. You can download the latest build from here.
Now start Vehicle Fleet Manager 5.0 on the client and use this menu to update the database connection:
Type the name or IP of the database server computer here then click "Connect":
The client should now be connected to the database hosted on the database server
